November has been a great month for Opinno. First Patricia Ruiz Guevara, mathematician, science journalist, and content designer in our team wins the prestigious Boehringer Ingelheim Award. Two weeks later, Alejandro Briceño enters the community of Global Shapers of the World Economic Forum and is granted the Princess of Girona Foundation Scholarship.
The Global Shapers Community is a network of young people working to drive dialogue, action and change in their communities. The Madrid Hub welcomes leaders in their domains, that have the drive and ambition to make an impact in the lives of others.
Since its launch in 2011, Madrid Global Shapers hub has carried out different projects to support education, social inclusion and tackle youth unemployment. The book “DIFERÉNCIA(TE)” aims to prove young people that you don't have to follow the established path to be happy. The social project and documentary “WHAT DO YOU WANT TO DO WITH YOUR LIFE?” travelled around Spain in a van for a month to get answers from hundreds of young people from all over the country.
Alejandro has also been selected to participate in the FPdGi (Princess of Girona Foundation) Leadership Campus whose primary objective is to support, promote, and accelerate the personal and professional development of young people with a desire to lead and transform.
Princess of Girona Foundation works to create a new generation of world leaders and to promote the principles that drive young people to build a better future. The latest initiative of the foundation is the program, "Do good to do well", aimed at changing the way young people understand achievement.
