Four women and six men make up the list of the ten people selected for the third summons that ‘MIT Technology Review in Spanish’ holds in the region

The generational shift exist even for talent, and the publication MIT Technology Spanish edition has taken upon themselves to discover and reward young and talented individuals for the third time in Argentina and Uruguay. The magazine, published by Opinno has once again brought to light the ten best projects in the region aimed at changing the world through the Under 35 Innovators Awards.

Four women and six men aged between 25 and 34 have been chosen to join the list of 2014. Their selection was conducted among more than 100 nominations within the different areas of technology, innovation and entrepreneurship. Their work presents the most humanitarian, pioneering, visionary, entrepreneurial and inventive ideas in both countries.

A test kit for detecting the presence of pesticide residues in food and a virtual assistant able to handle and resolve queries of real-time users are some of the projects that have been included in the edition. These are initiatives to settle as real solutions to the problems of today's society.

One of the problems, as in all editions, that most concerns the innovators is education and its universal growth to favour equal opportunities. The Argentine Andrea Goldin stands out for her development of the application Mate Marote. This game platform improves the cognitive abilities of children. Goldin looks to generate a stimulation tool even for those that don’t present any disabilities.

The development of communities in the poorest areas of the world is one of the main objectives pursued by young innovators and, of course, Opinno. This is the case of Ezekiel Escobar, 28, creator of uSound. This young Argentine has created a program that allows you to adjust all the functions available to a mobile phone user's hearing level, simulating a digital hearing aid.

Coming forward and settling in the complex world of technology and entrepreneurship is always complicated. Therefore, the awards are intended to serve as a springboard for all this young talent and create the largest community of emerging creativity wanting to change the world.

Mentors, researchers, entrepreneurs, investors and experts from across the region have attended the awards ceremony where the winners had the opportunity to present their proposals. The event took place on November the 19th, Day of the Entrepreneur, in the Buenos Aires Auditorium (Argentina).

This third edition in both countries is evidence of the firm steps in recognizing emerging talent in the area. The commitment to technology development and innovation is becoming increasingly apparent in society and therefore Opinno, as it has done since 2011, works in the discovery of the most brilliant and committed young people who are willing to solve big problems by proposing simple solutions.

Ten regional editions are already held every year around the world. This recognition is the small grain of sand with which Opinno aims to support young talent and recognize the efforts of those who will be the wheels in an increasingly imminent future.
