We were chosen by futurizz, previously known as OMExpo, to modernize their website

Futurizz

OMExpo, one of the most important digital marketing trade shows worldwide, has changed its name: it is now called futurizz. And with the new name comes a new image and a new website to consolidate these changes internationally. The event organizer, Easy Fair, entrusted us with the creation of a new website, which would help communicate the primary objetives futurizz.

In a process that lasted close to two months, we combined Design Thinking and User Experience methodologies to identify the end users' needs and the functionalities that would comply with these requirements. The project manager and member of Opinno's Labs department, Jose Zerpa, explains: “We developed a trial process with the participation of users, clients and exhibitors from the trade shows to determine their requirements."

Upon finalizing the requirements phase in which the website's target characteristics were defined, a focus group was created to evaluate the results and improve the platform's design. From this workshop, our company identified the need to create a website that could be modified by Easy Fair without external technical assistance. “We decided to create a series of 12 components that can be modified and integrated to structure the information”. These modules allow for the inclusion of images, videos, text and other elements to enable the creation of a personalized website.

Infinite Possibilities

The result was a web page whose structure can be modified according to current needs: while organizing an upcoming event, event publicity and ticket sales can be prioritized, and when the event has passed the website can be updated to focus on promoting next year's edition. “[The website] has a very innovative structure that combines the integrity required by these events with a dynamic build that allows for changes at any time,” Zerpa explains.

This innovation is not only focused on the structure of the website, but also the design itself. The manager of the Design department at Opinno, Borja de Vega, specifies: “We used a design that departs from the traditional somberness of marketing and we chose a more dynamic and vibrant design.” This design change has broken with the previous image of OMExpo's website to reflect the innovative nature that characterizes futurizz.

“Their specialization in user friendly website creation led Opinno to be selected for this project”, according to the marketing manager at Easy Fair, Cecilia Salcedo. In her view, “the objective is for all the elements of futurizz to reflect innovation and modernity, a philosophy that Opinno perfectly [embodies].”

Along the same lines, Opinno has created numerous web pages for the Innovators Under 35 competitions organized by their publication MIT Technology Review Spanish edition as well as a ticket sales platform. In addition, we have successfully designed websites for events such as the HBR (Harvard Business Review) Summitthe IE Alumni Forum and the ii Awards for innovation. Zerpa explains: “Companies trust in our capabilities because we offer integrated and professional backend, frontend, user experience and design services”.

With this new website, we hope to help turn Madrid (Spain), which hosted the OMExpo event that attracted more than 10,000 people last year, into the world capital of digital marketing. Our company, from its firm belief in the ability of innovation and technology to improve society and drive the economy, will continue to promote and develop initiatives that promote technological advancements.
