The last EmTech event, held for the second time in Colombia, left very positive and significant figures on the growing importance of technology and innovation in the Latin American country. The data was collected at the event held last February at the Plaza Mayor of Medellin, and without a doubt, was certainly a ray of light in a society that is evolving remarkably in the corporate world.

A total of six hundred people from nine different countries took part in this edition of the world's largest technology event organized by the Spanish edition of MIT Technology Review.

If anything highlights the format of EmTech, it’s the quality of its speakers. This time, more than thirty experts of seven different nationalities were in charge of setting the bar very high with great speeches on technological advances that will revolutionize fields such as medicine, education, research, entrepreneurship in Latin America and the investor outlook, among others.

In addition, within this framework the Innovators Under 35 Awards Colombia 2013 were distributed to 10 of the most interesting projects by young entrepreneurs seeking to revolutionize the future.

In the field of content diffusion, in reference to the audience, the event was also followed using streaming and Twitter, a platform on which over 6500 tweets were recorded that mentioned some of the contents of the event.
