The company has developed the new website of this international event to strengthen its alumni community through entrepreneurship and technology

IE Business School (IE) strives to care for its student community through initiatives such as the Alumni Forum, an international event that brings together all its alumni and features master lectures and exhibitions, amongst other activities. In order to renew their image and improve their usability, IE has relied on Opinno to develop its own platform for the next Alumni Forum, to be held in Madrid (Spain) on the 6th of February, 2015.

Since 80% of IE alumni currently reside abroad, this new platform enables them to be informed and involved in the event in a simple and intuitive way. The platform houses all the necessary information about the speakers and topics to be discussed at the forum, as well as instrcutions for attending the event. "It also serves as a platform for registration and the purchase of tickets to enroll as part of the audience" adds Opinno developer responsible for the web, Jose Zerpa.

This site has been designed to be accessible by an international and young public. "It's attractive and easy to use," explains the expert from Opinno. In addition, it relies on a responsive format that adapts to each device where you navigate and is always easy to see and read. "This is very important since the web traffic will be 50% through mobile phones," adds Zerpa.

From the corporate image chosen by IE, Opinno's design team was responsible for adapting the elements that compose the web. For the structure, a one page format was chosen, in which content can be displayed on a page that descends vertically like a waterfall, a very "trendy" and "convenient format to use on both computers and smart devices," explains Zerpa .

Innovation as an axis

The new website reflects a process of change in which IE wants to position itself around themes such as social innovation, technology and entrepreneurship. These themes represent the backbone of this year’s event’s program, whose motto is Fast Forward, Why Innovation Matters.

The organization has entrusted this work objective to Opinno "for its expertise in promoting the culture of innovation in organizations," explains Opinno’s project coordinator, Carmen Boronat. The page also reflects the international vision that IE wants to project in this new period and "Opinno had the expertise needed to address the challenge."

In fact, amongst the speakers who will attend the forum to talk to the students of IE is the CEO and founder of Opinno, Pedro Moneo, who will provide expertise in integrating into an innovative culture within business processes. "The community wanted to upgrade the IE Alumni, which is now more international than ever, and for this they want to network with innovation as a driver of business," adds Boronat.

For these reasons, the event will host networking spaces and workshops aimed at exploring business opportunities in a changing environment driven by innovation. For the organization and management of the meeting, IE will also have experience in producing innovative Opinno events.
