Last Friday, March 23, Pedro Moneo attended #iFridays organized by Sacyr to discuss the 10 emerging technologies of 2018, according to MIT.
#iFridays is a discussion space created by the Sacyr Innovation team, whose discussion topics center on: raising awareness about innovation, innovation strategy / governance, identifying trends and ideas, and the dissemination of projects and prototypes. The innovation topics in which the "iFridays" focus on relate to digital transformation, mobility, energy efficiency, IoT, new materials, as well as smart cities & smart service.
During his presentation, Moneo explained that we are living in a time when significant advances in technology are happening faster than ever, in shorter periods of time. From these trends, we can expect to experience technological advances in various sectors. Of course, it is important to keep in mind that this progress will revolve around current technologies being developed such as 3D metal printing that could transform the manufacturing sector, or the development of artificial intelligence that embeds machines with a sense of imagination, which could make them less dependent on humans, and possibly turn them into disturbingly powerful tools for digital counterfeiting.
