For the third time, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) inaugurates a new convocation of the awards 'Innovators Under 35 Mexico' through its publication MIT Technology Review in order to elect ten young Mexicans under the age of 35 that best represent innovation, technology and entrepreneurship, as well as present the most disruptive and socially impacting projects. In turn, these young innovators will be automatically nominated for the global edition.

The registration deadline for this edition is already open, and will close on April 21st of this year and the 10 lucky winners will be named in June.

As for the awards, which characterize these events, they will cover all areas of technology and the requirements to qualify for them are only to be under 35 years of age, a Mexican citizen and, above all, propose innovative ways to pose disruptive solutions to a global problem that generates an impact on society by using technology.

This installment has become a worldwide reference for, among other reasons, having led to the discovery of projects like Facebook or Google. Without a doubt, the TR35 awards are an important endorsement in creating a global community of young people who are at the technological forefront seeking to somehow transform the world to create a better future for all.

Background in Mexico

Two editions have previously been carried out in the Latin country, which acquired brilliant talented youths with interesting projects like the creation of rapid and economical systems for the production of vaccines, miniaturized power for portable devices, control of heart diseases through mobile technologies, smart solar systems for remote communities and affordable robotic systems, among many others.

Last year, Daniel Esteban Gómez Íñiquez was named innovator of the year for his work as founder of the company Solben, whose technology is used in 80% of Mexican biodiesel plants.
Also, this release recognizes the value of a wireless monitoring system of water pollutants through a network of biosensors or creating Narcotuits, and web technology for empowering citizens or, for example, Modebo, a company that offers design and architecture through a pocket application.
