For this reason, the final piece will offer a number of advantages, possibilities and capabilities that currently exist in the art market. MUSEION consists of a cloud-platform which intends on becoming the largest database for artwork worldwide.
However, MUSEION’s principal advancement is its mobile device applications; it is a tool capable of recognizing any work of art just by photographing it.
For those unaware of what augmented reality is, it is an easy to use technology whose technical complexity must be taken into account. By simply taking a picture of a painting or sculpture, the application is able to recognize its characteristics and give the user all the information that is in the cloud.
Currently, there is no multi-device platform of this kind except the artwork database by Google, but it is not combined with the latest advances in mobile devices. That is why MUSEION has become a reference, not only culturally but technologically.
