This month Opinno sent Business Development and Project Leader of Opinno Mexico, Sara Alvarez, to participate in the Innovation Summit México, one of the most important events in innovation, new technologies and megatrends in Mexico and Central America, an event powered by Schneider Electric.
Sara was present to show the study developed in collaboration with MIT and titled: The Future of Sustainability in Mexico in a Digitalized, Decarbonized and Decentralized world .
Sara, an international consultant in innovative technologies and the energy sector, is a civil engineer and university lecturer who has worked in Europe, Africa and Latin America. She was there to present and engage with other international experts present at the conference.
Also attending were experts in energy efficiency, sustainability and the digitalization of the sector who gave their individual interpretations of how competitive industry fits into this brave new world of energy consumption. This is a world where energy provision is increasingly decentralized and is transforming in the way it is provided. The event raised key questions about how the disruption of the energy grid will pan out for its users and consumers in the future.
How is technology redefining how energy is being consumed in buildings, data banks, in industry and as part of energy grids, national and otherwise? The event sought to answer some of this question and others.
There were discussion panels and conference talks available in the formatting of the event, as well as tours of the innovation hub, site of the latest technological developments in the sector.
