Innovation and entrepreneurship are two fundamental tools to help grow an organization or even a country, even in times of crisis. Under this premise, on the 16th of March Professional Women´s Network Madrid organized the gathering on Innovation and Entrepreneurship. The perfect partner in times of crisis - Opportunities and Trends in which Opinno’s CEO, Pedro Moneo, and the Investment director of Diana Capital, Elena Pajarín, participated. The debate was moderated by the marketing director of Sales Force in Spain and Portugal, Mildred Laya.

For an hour and a half, the speakers transmitted to the attendees their vision on how to promote entrepreneurship in both enterprise and in the society as a whole. Such actions can help you to stay afloat during a crisis.

Opinno is the living example of this, since it was founded in 2008, in the midst of bankruptcy by the Lehman Brothers. Since then, the company didn’t just ride out the storm but has grown day by day by increasing its number of partnerships and projects. Moneo is flying the flag for the ability to innovate to overcome crisis.

One of these processes for achieving it is based on boosting entrepreneurship within the organization. This action involves all employees so that they can all offer different solutions and ideas to grow. It is "a work philosophy based on having employees with a spirit of excellence, curiosity, courage and honesty," Moneo said. Opinno applies these intraentrepreneurship recipes both in its own organization and in the companies it advises.

So that these values and entrepreneurship culture are placed in society "it requires investment in training," Moneo said. Opinno CEO believes that "it’s vital to start up a business from university in order to have entire career ahead to evolve."

This promotion of talent should also be encouraged in large companies that "must keep their eye on start-ups, recruit and manage talent and take care of financing because the philosophy of the entrepreneur will be the future of big businesses," Moneo said.

Pajarín shared the opinion, believing that companies "must invest in innovation and recruit talent to emerge from the crisis". In addition, Pajarín referred to innovation as a process "that involves not only technology but creates something new that finds a niche in the market."

In conclusion, Moneo facilitated the Barometer of successful entrepreneurship in Spain developed by MIT Technology Review Spanish edition, the publication edited by Opinno. The report analyzes 110 profiles of entrepreneurs who have triumphed in Spain and shows the difficulties they have had to overcome on their way to success.

Entrepreneurship and innovation should be the tools of business to adapt to a changing world. So Opinno, as a consultant specializing in these areas, supports and advises other organizations in their own processes of renewal to boost growth.
