The challenge for large corporations is to reinvent themselves day after day to keep up with technology, but who helps them follow the right path?

The publication about information and communication technologies, 'Computerworld', wanted to learn more about this ‘makeover’ process for companies by speaking with Pedro Moneo, founder and CEO of Opinno.

The innovation market sets the pace for business today. If you do not innovate, you run the high risk of disappearing. To avoid this, there are different methods exist, one of which is consulting. Opinno was created five years ago and has already led major European and Latin American companies on the road to reinvention.

With a size that has doubled each year since its beginning, which is to say, five consecutive times, the company seeks to provide the agility of startups to big businesses that is dedicated to, in the words of its founder, "transforming organizations and ecosystems through the 'lean development' model, which consists of developing a concept, prototyping it, launching it into the market, and validating it; and if it works, fine, if not, change it. That is, turn slow organizations into agile ones."

During economic crises, new market opportunities will always arise. In reference to this, the two most repeated concepts from the mouth of the entrepreneur are 'innovation' and 'agility' for what might be considered the master key to survival in times of great technological change.

Pedro Moneo

In this respect, Pedro Moneo also highlights opportunities to prototype concepts that currently exist in Spain: "Our country right now is asleep; there is little noise and few competitors. I consider Spain a laboratory from which ideas can expand to countries like the US, France, the UK and Turkey, where we already work."

As for the internal workings of the company, Computerworld has asked the CEO about procedures that characterize Opinno’s work, which has stressed the importance of the operation of laboratories inspired "in the MIT Media Lab, providing large companies entrepreneurial and agile prototyping solutions for those that feel they are necessary but cannot or do not dare to develop themselves."

Innovation, therefore, is the central concept of the company’s work. An idea that is attempting to be implemented in the ways of doing business in Spanish companies and, in turn, strengthen our country to be one of the leaders in this field, so that what Pedro Moneo and the other successful entrepreneurs foresee happening does not occur: "We are wasting time and energy.”
