The first session of Building Global Innovators (BGI) sets off; an accelerator for Start-ups taking place until the 9th of June.

In this edition, 20 technological based businesses will be able to benefit with large advantages and awards provided by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). This way, the four most promising projects will be awarded 100.000 euros from Caixa Capital.

Building Global Innovators has already helped 100 innovative projects to develop their businesses, all of them focused on technological impulses related to health, the industry and companies IT & Smart Data, just like with Big Data and the development of intelligent cities. 

All of the Start-Up finalists will receive support and monitoring during 5 years, making possible growth and expansion on an international level. Also, as a new feature this year, a training campus will be created based on e-teams that will have business development tutorials in Lisbon, at ISCTE-IUL or at MIT in Boston.

 This contest is defined as a “pool of catalysts”, where consultants and mentors will give the keys to success to those, who with their innovative proposals, look to provide solutions and international global values.

 On the other hand, Building Global Innovators tries to facilitate the extension of the winner’s network, connecting innovators with investors, encouraging the development of large entrepreneurial international ecosystems.
