On Thursday, October 25, our team and SuresTEA organized a play day for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
We wanted to meet the children and their families, hear their stories and spend some time with them in a fun and relaxed environment. We committed to using our network to disseminate information about this cause and work in collaboration with SuresTEA to support the integration of children with ASD.
Tech innovations to tackle ASD
Technology has already found ways to tackle ASD. Leka is an interactive robot company that allows children to become more autonomous by practicing their communication skills. Through playing sounds and music, lighting up, vibrating and speaking, Leka engages autistic children in a multi-sensory activity. Synchrony is a medical device that helps children to engage with others at an emotional level and broaden their communication and social skills.
SuresTEA is an association that supports the inclusion and protection of people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The association’s mission is to disseminate information about ASD and provide their families with support and resources for full inclusion in society, through different services. These services favour and promote inclusion in the labour, educational, formative and social spheres.
