Our Challenge team is still celebrating the success of the best innovation event in the world. This year it’s the turn of Turkey’s Under 35’s Innovators Award, and we can now confirm the date.
The 17th of September is the chosen day for the first edition of the event on Turkish ground. A contest that has been a challenge for a team lead by Patricia Jiménez, we can confirm today that it will be a success.
The chosen site for the celebration of the Under 35’s Innovators Award in Turkey is the colossal Salt Galata, an institution in the center on Istanbul and works as a headquarters for numerous conferences, expositions and public programs related to design, architecture, social sciences and economics.
The characteristics of the contests follow the line set by the events organized by Opinno. The Turkish version will have ten winners published in the official sites of the event.
Also, there will be global Turkish winners from other editions of MIT’s contest in attendance, as well as quality speakers participating in the Silicon Valley technology and innovation debate.
Experts such as Utkan Demirci and Aydogan Ozcan; the first of which was awarded with the Under 35’s Innovator award in 2006 for the development of a disposable HIV test. Ozcan obtained a special mention in the 2009 event for inventing a low cost technology using obsolete materials to create a high quality microscope.
As we can see, it will be an event filled with featured speakers and presentations that wouldn’t have been possible without Garanti as partners and official sponsors of the contest, acting as a huge support from the start for the organization.
