Two projects, two innovative young people, EmTech Boston. In the biggest innovation and technology event in the world, Santiago Villegas and Rand Hindi will present their work as two of the chosen people from a global list of Innovators Under 35.

The two projects selected from the Under 35’s Innovators Awards will be presented in front of an audience at the EmTech 2014 emerging technologies conference celebrated every year in Boston, this year, on the 25th of September

Santiago

Santiago Villegas is 29 and was recognised during the Colombian edition of the Under 35’s Innovators Awards, acknowledged by MIT Technology Review. ‘Seguridadenlínea’ is the name chosen by this IT engineer for the tool created by him that allows you to upload on to the web, in very little time, information indicating the location of thefts, car accidents and shootings.

It also lets you include in the information photos and videos to make Medellin a safer city to live in.

Rand

Rand Hindi is the other young person chosen to present his project to the distinguished EmTech audience. Hindi is the French entrepreneur selected as the biggest talent in the world. At 29 years old and an expert in bioinformatics, Rand, through the startup ‘Snips’, created in the company of friends, has a clear function: predict the happenings in large cities to prevent dangers and improve the lives of the people living there.

One of the most immediate projects for the business is the creation of a smartphone able to provide the necessary information that the user needs, when he needs it.

These are two EmTech presentations that, with the exposure, will be an essential support for them to help their ideas grow and finance them to obtain a closer future for the citizens of large cities.
