April, the month chosen to launch the new EmTech website created by our Events team which follows the model released by Boston.

The second edition of EmTech Mexico inaugurate its new web page this June; a model that is much more dynamic and visually consistent with the event’s image. Along with the celebration of EmTech Colombia last February and in anticipation of the new EmTech in Spain, this will be the first year that the three editions will be held.

Emtech

One of the peak moments of the conference was led by Jason Pontin, editor of the publication MIT Technology Review, with his exclusive presentation of the ten most impressive technological developments of 2014, chosen by MIT.

Unlike what we saw at the last EmTech Colombia event in February where the fifty most disruptive companies were presented, this event will discuss more specific elements that focus their progress and technological innovation on solutions to specific problems.

The various speeches that make up the conference will consist of different topics related to technology, innovation and business. Three speakers will share the stage in each of the panels to discuss issues such as education from the point of view of autonomous learning, robotics, and synthetic biology, technology of new devices focused on maintaining a healthy lifestyle and control the systems of the body and personalized medicine, among others.

Each of the three presenters responsible for the speeches will provide a point of view which will help understand the reality of the issues. First, a national speaker will introduce the local view of the situation and the reality of the country, in this case Mexico. Secondly, MIT’s experiences and business lines will be exhibited, and thirdly, to conclude, the application and practice in the international arena will be further understood.

As for support, EmTech Mexico will continue with the sponsorship of the National Council of Science and Technology of Mexico (CONACYT) and the Tecnológico de Monterrey (TEC) to continue to make possible the launch of events like these.
