OpenAxel

We have created the largest consortium of European companies along with the principal accelerators of the entrepreneurial ecosystem to foster the development of startups.

We are looking for the newest, most innovative and disruptive companies in Europe in order to integrate them into a "Michelin Guide" for entrepreneurship. This will consist of the continent’s sixty most promising startups, a figure that we intend to continue expanding in the following editions of the competition.

To do this, we have created a virtual portal that will unite the leading acceleration service providers. This social network aims to give visibility to the best innovative companies so they can grow internationally and access to potential investors.

Registration for the competition will be open until June 29. After the deadline, a total of 30 companies will be selected. All winning projects will receive support and advisement to encourage acceleration and give visibility to their businesses. In addition, investors have access to reputable and innovative tutoring or mentoring.

On the other hand, the 9 most interesting projects will receive an additional prize: a trip to Silicon Valley and coaching sessions with the senior executives of global corporations.

The winners will join thirty other startups with great potential to be selected in the second edition of the competition scheduled for 2015.

To achieve this ambitious project, we met with seven major international companies from six European countries. The meeting discussed accelerators, institutional entities and consulting firms specialized in innovation such as Econet, Digital Europe, IVSZ, Funding Box, Wayra, Accelerace and AppCampus.

The initiative is part of a broader strategy implemented at a European level. In fact, Open Axel is one of the projects funded by the European Commission to support the growth and development of companies within the field of ICT.
