Open innovation is a concept that is a more participatory and distributed form of innovation. This concept utilizes the sharing of innovation, with companies across sectors understanding that no single company can effectively innovate on its´ own. In order to increase innovation, companies need to share information and knowledge to better help all stakeholders.

Last week our Opinno consultants held innovation workshops to teach innovation tools to different actors in the ecosystem plus company in Logroño.

The workshops focused mainly on Open Innovation. This topic has been of great interest for today's corporations as it is about understanding how internal expertise and external creativity come together to take risks and generate social impact

The workshops also talked about corporate venturing units and how they act as a bridge between companies and startups, but innovation managers are having difficulties implementing them.
