Opinno has given a training course on this way of working based on agility to minimize risks and promote success

When an entrepreneur dares to launch his project he faces a number of uncertainties that can lead to the failure of the idea. No matter how good the product may be it may not be popular with the customers or there might even already be a niche market for it. It is also possible that although the basic idea is good the outcome does not meet expectations.

Any new project will face all these uncertainties inevitably, however, now there are more and more tools that allow the entrepreneur to minimize them to guarantee a successful launch. One is the lean start-up methodology, based on agility in detecting needs and failures.

Opinno is a small start-up born amid a global economic crisis that has not only survived but is growing every day. Part of this success is that the company is structured and managed through this methodology.

This achievement has made the company an expert on implementing this process and has therefore been selected for the third consecutive year by the ContaPyme program to teach a training course on lean start-up methodology. The course, which took place on the 15th and 16th of December in Seville (Spain), taught 20 entrepreneurs interested in exploring this subject.

It was the start-ups in Silicon Valley (USA) that gave name to this concept, through its agile operation and management, able to adapt to the ever-changing global market. A new management method emerged from their working methods, applicable to products and projects of virtually all areas.

Its adoption can find out sooner what customers really want and apply it to optimize the product development cycle. This not only reduces deadlines but also funding requirements, minimizing the possibility of failure. Finally, if it is discovers that the project is not feasible, the lean start-up methodology can reduce the maximum losses in time and costs.

One of the main strategies applied is to "know your customer as thoroughly as possible to try to give it what it wants," says Opinno expert Laura García, who considers this step as "vital in launching new challenges".

The other expert in charge of the training workshop taught by Opinno, Noemi de la Fuente, stresses that this methodology is associated to terms that are being increasingly used in the world of entrepreneurship such as customer development, customer discover and business model concepts. All these terms, as well as its implementation and the benefits provided were also included during this workshop.

Fear should never put the brakes on entrepreneurship and Opinno is the living example that you can succeed against the most adverse situations. Therefore, the company strives to convey their own expertise so others will not fail where there is a gap for success.
